Each urban village in Jakarta is urged to provide library in order to push the reading interest of the citizens.

Tinia Budiati, Jakarta Head Library and Local Archive Department, said each urban village must support each other in providing library. At this moment, the Library and City Archive (KPAK) in five administration and one regency, are integrated with urban village.

The old library method in urban village will be replaced with the new one. Previously, all book are given and placed in urban village office.
"Later, the book package is rented for three months, and can be swap with other packages after that period," she added.
City BPAD will monitor the urban village library directly. "Freelancer will be also prepared in urban village next year. One freelancer could manage 2-3 urban village libraries," she disclosed.
